Jared Smith's first foray into the sports announcing world was when he used his Talkboy to record his excited reaction to Lomas Brown guaranteeing a Lions playoff win in 1995.  The Lions lost 58 to 37.    

Since then, Jared managed to graduate from Tufts University while being a frequent contributor to Detroit4lyfe.  He is currently in his third year of law school at The Ohio State University and still daydreams about becoming Jerry Maguire and making the quan.  He watches Rocky training montages before working out, once bowled a 203, and he turned a triple play when he was 11 years old.
